Carolina Krieger lives and works in Camboriú, SC. She is a visual artist and self-taught photographer. She works with photography, appropriated images and hand collage. You can see in her images small rituals of intensification with the mystery, which inhabits, surrounds and underlies us. Through her work, she raises the importance of diving within oneself as a way of apprehending the omnipresence of nature: visible and invisible. In this way, she proposes a fundamental return to the knowledge and cosmovision of ancestral peoples. She has participated in several exhibitions and festivals.

Convulsive dreams and nightmares with open or closed eyes, literary inflections, outbursts of uncontained pleasures, the resonance of subjective experience, the perception of future inscribed in the distant past, the sublime beauty of what lies dead in life, paradise stripped of limp laughter like a rebellion poisoning tasteless pre-established scripts. What is in fact essential to us?
Carolina Krieger’s inscriptions on the world go through the acceptance of a chaotic whole that, weighted by affections and accumulation of knowledge, harmonizes with the intangible sensations that the artist brings to the surface with her kaleidoscope of images. A stellar complex that flirts with the intimate nature of things, of herself, of photography that, under her eyes, become rites of origin, principles and intermittent ecstasies.

Carolina Krieger philosophizes in depth about existence and affections through her images, taken from the family albums or appropriated elsewhere. Literature helps to guide her concepts. More recently, collages and charcoal have entered her experimentation. In her work, between the Cosmos and a grain of sand, lies the potency of our universe’s creation touched by a warm and involving poetics. The world is scented with the avidity of a newborn animal, the beams of light slurped up like mother’s milk, the enigma of shadows is an opportunity to enter the oracle of self-knowledge. Carolina Krieger’s imagery constellations quickly become our images. It seems that they have always been on a tangible but not visible plane. Invested in them, we attribute some logic to the abstract of existence, we cure dystopias, we fearlessly face old age, we love as if there is no tomorrow, we bond with animals and talk to chrysanthemums. Art as a pulse of life, chakras aligned, hope!
