“Drawings don’t escape the desire for circumscription: domain.
I make use of colonial devices in unconventional ways . I rediscover in an equivalent form: cartographic or taxonomic… decolonizing landscapes as possible: rearticulating the fixed language and insisting in a critique of representation focused on controlling.
There is an ethic in preserving that which is contingent… that which won’t be here tomorrow… although situated as a symptom-image of the accuracy and care precisely of those things we lose.”
