Froiid is a multidisciplinary artist and curator, with a master’s degree in visual arts from Minas Gerais State University (PPGARTES/UEMG), and a degree in fine arts from Guignard School. In his objects, actions, and installations, he elaborates the relations between games, rascality, art, and Brazilian peripheral culture. By experimenting with the rules of games such as soccer, snooker and gambling, he seeks to overcome the dualism between norm and freedom, institution and creation, individual and society. He was a resident of Bolsa Pampulha (2022) and winner of the Décio Noviello de Artes Visuais prize (2020). His works have been exhibited at Palácio das Artes, Belo Horizonte (2020-2021, 2014); Museu Nacional de Brasília (2018); Festival Internacional de Fotografia (FIF), Ipatinga and Belo Horizonte (2018, 2017); and Sesc Palladium, Belo Horizonte (2012).
