Letícia Lopes was born in Campo Bom/RS, 1988, lives and works in Porto Alegre. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, 2016), and participates in group shows around Brazil and abroad since 2013, having her work featured in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Recife, France and Czech Republic. In 2019, she was the winner of the 3rd Contemporary Art Prize by Alliance Française, and had her first solo show abroad, “I wanna be adored” (La Rochelle/FR). Also in 2019, she was nominated for PIPA Prize. Developing her research manly through painting, she investigates spaces of ambiguity and mystery between reality and representation, using space as a tool for proposing new meanings.
