Marcelo Pacheco graduated from the Law School of the University of São Paulo in 2009, obtaining a Masters Degree, in 2013, at the same institution. He attended classes at the Université Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne, in 2008, during an exchange program, when he started to photograph with an analogical camera. The artist began to work as a law clerk at the São Paulo State Court in 2012. In 2013, he gets installed in a collective studio in Sao Paulo, where he begins to paint. Since 2016, Pacheco participates in group shows and art salons, among them the “Salão dos Artistas Sem Galeria”, in January 2017. He presented a solo show at Galeria Sancovsky, in August 2018, curated by Douglas de Freitas, exhibiting a set of paintings and his first sculpture work. Marcelo transfers his studio to Massapê Projetos (SP), where he participates in the exhibition “Featuring”, in August 2019, with Thomaz Rosa and Leandro Muniz, inaugurating a site-specific work for the space. Currently, the artist works in expanding his pictorial research through the production of painted objects and sculptures and works made with collage and embroidered fabrics.
