Ana Dantas graduated in Advertising and Film at Emerson College in Boston, USA. From 2000 to 2005, she worked in film production in New York City with several directors, including Spike Lee and Martin Scorsese. In 2005, she returned to Brazil and started working with video editing. In 2008, she became part of an art study group supervised by artist Marcos Bonisson. Between 2009 and 2011, she attended the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage, where she studied with Denise Cathilina, Luiz Ernesto and Bob N, among others. From 2010 to 2012, she worked as a video editor and assistant to the artist Arthur Omar. She also edited videos directed by Marcos Bonisson about different artists. Currently, she lives and works in Rio de Janeiro and New York, where she continues to work editing other artists’ videos and also developing her individual work. In November 2013, was part of the Group Exhibition “Physis | soma – o corpo, a expressão e a poética do movimento” at Casa das Rosas, in São Paulo. In 2014, Dantas received the Award of Merit, Focal Point from the Maryland Federation of Art Circle Gallery, USA.
