Alberto Bitar graduated in Administration at Unama (Belém). Bitar started his trajectory as a photographer in 1991, gathering individual and collective exhibits in Brazil and abroad such as: “30th Art Biennial of São Paulo”; “32nd Panorama of Brazilian Art”, MAM/SP (São Paulo, 2011); “Rumos Visual Arts, Itaú Cultural Institute” (São Paulo, 2008/2009); “Densidentidad”, IVAM (Valencia, 2006); “Une Certaine Amazonie”, Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse (Paris, 2005); and “Brasiliana – Photographers from Fotoativa” (Porto, 2000). He was awarded in two occasions with the Prize Funarte Marc Ferrez of Photography (2012 and 2010); in seven, with the Art Pará Exhibit (Belém, 1997-2011), besides others. His artworks are in several collections, such as the National Library Foundation (Rio de Janeiro), MAM/BA (Salvador), Pirelli/MASP Collection of Photography, MAC/USP and MAM/SP, FNAC Brazil Collection, MACRS and MACRGS (Porto Alegre).
