Guy Veloso graduated in Law and photographs since 1989 with various publications and national and international exhibitions. He has participated in the 29th São Paulo Biennial, in 2010, invited by the curators Agnaldo Farias e Moacir dos Anjos. Veloso was the Brazilian Contemporary Photography chief-curator at the 23rd Europalia Arts Festival, in Brussels, Belgium, 2011-12. The artist was invited to participate in the 2017 Biennial of the Americas, at the Museo de las Americas in Denver, Colorado, United States. The subject of religion is the most frequent in his work, especially the one that uses body as a way of transcending.
