Maria Lynch holds a MFA degree and a post-graduate diploma from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London. Among her main exhibitions are ‘The Jerwood Drawing Prize’, travelling exhibit across London and other cities of England, 2008; “Nova Arte Nova”, at CCBB Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, 2008, and the solo exhibition ‘Devirneando’, at Galeria Mercedes Viegas, 2009, Rio de Janeiro. At the same year Maria was also invited to Salão Paranaense, in Curitiba, and to the group exhibition “] entre [“, at Galeria IBEU. She presented the performance “Incorporáveis” at Oi Futuro and SESC 24 Horas, in Rio de Janeiro. She won the Funarte Marcantônio Vilaça Prize of Visual Arts. In 2011, she was invited to the 6th Curitiba VentoSul Biennial.
