In her paintings, Marina Rheingantz carries out an abstract reduction of the landscape, through a process of creation based on photographs or her own memories. The artist constructs and deconstructs her canvases repeatedly with paint overlays that form large fields of color and, at the same time, enhance specific elements. Desolate landscapes, roads and interiors emerge only as traces of the real, which is fragmented by memory into a collage full of textures.
