Milton Marques is part of that team of artists, inventors. His artworks draw upon a low-tech repertoire, what we see are experiences that are at the same time craft and technical, with digital videos and technological devices that have already been destroyed. Marques’ oeuvre includes optical components, printers, copiers, scanners, cameras and other mechanisms devoid of its original function. Milton Marques thus creates small gadgets capable of restoring a poetry unthinkable for these entities that were already doomed to oblivion.

Recent solo and group exhibitions: “Encruzilhada”, EAV Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2015 (curated by Bernardo Mosqueira); “Milagros”, Ateliê 397, São Paulo, Brazil, 2015; “Mostra 3M de Arte Digital – Canções de Amor”, Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo, Brazil, 2014; Milton Marques, Galeria Leme, São Paulo, Brazil, 2014; “Instabilidade Estável” (with Daniel Murgel and Milton Marques), Paço das Artes, São Paulo, Brazil, 2014; Imagine Brazil (travelling group show), MAC, Lyon, France; Denmark; Russia, 2014; Biennial of Curitiba, Brazil, 2013; “Reinventando o Mundo”, Museu Vale, Vila Velha, 2013, Brazil and “A Imagem Adquirida”, MAC Goiás, Goiânia, Brazil, 2013.
