Sofia Borges is a visual artist and for five years she has developed a research in the field of photography. Graduated in 2008 as Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts from the Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo, her photography research has already earned her many awards and has been shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions. In 2008 she was awarded four times and received a scholarship of Support Research and Production of the Government of Pernambuco. In 2009, she held solo shows in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Ribeirão Preto, she was selected for the program Rumos Itaú Cultural, she was highlighted by Iberê Camargo Scholarship and was awarded with the Porto Seguro Photography Prize.In 2010, she was nominated for the Paul Huf Award in Amsterdam, and held solo exhibition in Recife, Pernambuco.
