Graduated in Arts, PUC, Rio de Janeiro; Masters in Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, New York. Since 1998, works as an History of Art Assistant Professor at UERJ. Since 2014, works as the Director of Paço Imperial, Rio de Janeiro. From October 2008 – August 2014, was the Director of Parque Lage Visual Arts School, Rio de Janeiro.
In 2008 was the Superintendent Arts Coordinator of the Ministry of Culture of Rio de Janeiro, responsible for the programme coordination of school of arts, museums, art centres and theatres of the State of Rio de Janeiro. From 2003 until 2005, directed the Division of Theory and Research at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói (MAC) From 1993 until 2005, directed the Division of Visual Arts of the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture – Rio Arte. During this period worked as the Curator of the Art Gallery Sergio Porto and of the series Rioarte Video/ Arte Contemporânea.

Revista, at Paço Imperial, November 2005 and January 2006; Insertae Sedis, by José Rufino, at MAC, Niterói, October 2005; and projects such as Atelier FINEP, at Paço Imperial, Mostra Rio Arte Contemporânea at MAM Rio de Janeiro, Caminhos para o Contemporâneo, and Os 90, at Paço Imperial, e O Artista Pesquisador, at MAC, Niterói.
