Daniel Rangel

Daniel Rangel is a researcher, curator and cultural manager. He has a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo (ECA/USP), where he is doing his PhD. He is currently the Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bahia (MAC-Bahia); a research member of the IEA – Institute of Advanced Studies at USP and curator of the Museu é Mundo Award. He was the curator of the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia (2021/2023); artistic director of N+1 Arte Cultura (2016/2021); artistic director of ICCo – Institute of Contemporary Culture (2011/2016), both in São Paulo; and Director of the Museum Directorate of IPAC Bahia, between 2008 and 2011. He has carried out important curatorial projects over the last twenty years, in Brazil and abroad, including the Cerveira Biennial, the Curitiba Biennial and the Luanda Triennial.
