Doctorate in Visual Poetics through PPGAV-ECA-USP, Escola de Comunicações e Artes University of São Paulo, Brazil, in Contemporary Artistic Processes through PPGAV-CEART-UDESC, University of the State of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, Brazil, associate-curator at “Fórum Permanente: Museus de Arte; entre o público e o privado”, photography professor of the design course at Universidade Positivo (UP), Curitiba, Brazil, specialization in visual arts coordinator at UP, Curitiba, Brazil.
Since 2008 the Felipe Prando has developed the project “[paisagem:fronteira]”, a discursive website of artistic investigation which works as a territory set up by a grid of discursive practices and experiences. In 2013 he curated the exhibition “Campo Neutral” at the Museu da Gravura da Cidade de Curitiba (MGCC), Brazil, in 2012 he participated as a curator in the exhibition “Experiências de Museus” at MGCC, and in 2011 the curated the exhibition “Conversas” at MGCC.
Between 2005 and 2011 Prando participated in the Nuclei of Photography Studies, a space for producing and reflecting on contemporary images. In 2012 he was awarded with Editais “Ocupação de Espaços Expositivos” and “Bolsa Produção – Artes Visuais”, both by the Curitiba Culture Foundation, Brazil. In 2009 he received the award “Bolsa Estímulo à Criação Artística – Fotografia Contemporânea” from FUNARTE, in 2007 he was selected by the “X Salão Nacional Victor Meirelles – Museu de Arte de Santa Catarina”, and on the same year he was awarded with Edital “Bolsa Produção – Artes Visuais” by Curitiba Culture Foundation.
Holds artwork exhibitions since 2005 in several Brazilian cities, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Venezuela and Belgium.
