Fernando Oliva

Member of the Nominating Committee PIPA 2012, 2014 and 2018.

Fernando Oliva is curator at MASP, researcher and professor at Faculdade de Artes Plásticas da Faap (São Paulo) and holds a PhD in Art History and Critic (ECA-USP). He integrated the curatorial team of the 3rd Bienal da Bahia – É Tudo Nordeste?. He was the Chief Curator of Centro Cultural São Paulo and Project Manager at Paço das Artes and Museu da Imagem e do Som. Currently, he integrates the artistic direction of Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP).

Among his recent projects in which he participated as curator, publishing critical assays in the catalogues of the exhibitions, are: “Arte da França: De Delacroix a Cézanne”, “Arte Brasileira do Século 20”, “Histórias da Infância, Carla Zaccagnini: Histórias Feministas”, Thiago Honório (Trabalho) e Pedro Correia de Araújo: Erótica, e “Maria Auxiliadora: vida cotidiana, pintura e resistência”, all of them at MASP.
