Lives in Rio de Janeiro, where Gabriel Netto works with graphic design, art and education. In his research in visual arts, Netto seeks to establish bases in the drawing gesture, from where goes from appropriations to installations, questioning the limits of drawing itself, limiting the use of things and the presence of visual objects.
Gabriel Netto graduated in Fine Arts and Master of Design and Technology, both from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He teaches courses in Surface Design and Fashion Design School SENAI CETIQT.
He was one of 45 selected from about 1700 artists from all over Brazil, for the fourth edition of the program Rumos Itaú Cultural Artes Visuais. He was resident at the Institute SACATAR, in Itapariaca, Brazil. He participated in several exhibitions in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Pernambuco, Ceara, Bahia and Acre. Also joined the 10th Salon Victor Meirelles, in Florianópolis, Brazil.
In 2009, his drawings were exhibited at the Museu do Trabalho, Porto Alegre, Brazil, in the solo exhibition “Sobre Desenhos”.
