Gustavo von Ha’s work develops from a researching on the thin line between reality and fiction, art and market, authorial production and cultural industry within the context of contemporary art. These issues also problematize the role of the artist nowadays.
These investigations unfold in two groups of works: “Leonilson and Tarsila’ Project”, they are a series of objects made from copies of original drawings by Tarsila do Amaral and José Leonilson; and “Heist Films and Entertainment”, name of a fictitious film producer created by the artist to develop and distribute movie trailers that will never be realized.
