Lucia L. Mindlin has been working with photography since 1991. Seeking a new support for images, she began to investigate and experiment with the construction of a series of object books, which use procedures such as repetition of images, displacements, superimpositions, cuts and holes, among others.
Participated in the V Núcleo de Formação em Linguagem Fotográfica, at Centro Cultural Oswald de Andrade, in São Paulo,1991. Graduated in Graphic Design at Centro Universitário Belas Artes, São Paulo (2010). She holds a master’s degree in visual poetics from the School of Communications and Arts (ECA) at the University of São Paulo, USP, under the guidance of professor dr. Marco Buti (2014). She holds a PhD in visual poetics from the School of Communications and Arts (ECA), University of São Paulo, USP, under the guidance of professor Dr. Claudio Mubarac. Her curriculum includes several solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad.
She also works as a graphic designer, making book projects, covers, and posters. She has worked for the publishing houses Terceiro Nome, Edusp, Editora UFPR, among others, and for a number of independent publishers.
