Graduated in Fine Arts through FAAP, Luciana Brito has worked in the educative department of the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo (1983-1984) and in the Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo (1984-1988).
In the year of 1985, she curated the project Arte na Rua (Art in Streets), with Mônica Nador. She has worked in the Gabinete de Arte Raquel Arnaud (1987-1991).
In the year of 1993 she curated and produced the project Arte Pública (Public Arts), with Tadeu Chiarelli.
Between 1993 and 1997, she coordinated exhibitions and book productions for shows such as: Regina Silveira at the Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand, Ana Maria Tavares in the Museu Brasileiro de Escultura and in the Museu de Arte da Pampulha, Mira Schendel in the Centro Cultural Helio Oiticica and Leonilson in the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil.
In 1997 she opened the Brito Cimino Gallery which in 2009 would become the Luciana Brito Gallery.
