Lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil.
Artist, independent curator and gallerist. Graduated in Art Psychotherapy for Goldsmith College, in London, currently studies Art: History, Critic and Curatorship at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Worked with Institutional Relations at Luciana Brito Gallery (2009 – 2010), curated the first edition of Red Bull House of Art (2009) and coordinated the project “Abotoados Pela Manga”, in partnership with Franz Manata (2010). Monteiro is the founder of Phosphorus, an independent space devoted to experimental practices , focused in artistic residencies and process critics. Since 2011, Phosphorus promotes exhibitions, residencies workshops and special projects along with galleries, collectors and artists. The space was contemplated in 2012 and 2013 with ProAC and, since then, develops the project Phosphorus Residency. She is the founder and director of Sé Gallery, a space in the heart of São Paulo, Brazil.
