Prior to visual arts becoming his main area of focus, Pablo Lobato’s artistic practice centred on the cinema. Today his research is orientated more by the senses generated by specific subject matter and experiences, than by specific languages. He was one of the founders of ‘Teia – Audiovisual Research Centre’, which has been based in Belo Horizonte since 2002. Currently he is working on completing the film Ventos de Valls, which is the result of an action in Spain in 2009, financed by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, New York.
