Paula Krause

Artist, researcher and Masters in Visual Poetics by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Has been developing a research on performance, resulting in a recent compilation of edited videos, having as their starting point the performance acted by the artist herself, titled ‘Auto Experience’.

Participated in the research group ‘Art Vehicles – CNPq’, coordinated by Professor Dr Hélio Fervenza – UFRGS. In 2007, elaborated, together with André Severo, Cláudia Vieira and Grady Gerbracht the project ‘Lomba Alta’, a residency programme which utilised the physical space of a farm, in plain activity, at the centre region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and sought to offer a space and means for the execution of artistic investigations, putting into focus the experience of sharing the creative and reflexive artistic practice. Together with André Severo, Maria Helena Bernardes and Fernando Mattos, Krause is the co-founder of ‘Arena’- an independent educational and project space, which seeks to give the voice and social sharing experience to the artistic practice, as a means to intensify, concentrate and exalt human possibilities.

Between 2007 and 2008, participated in the project ‘Os Humores do Poeta’, by Luciana Paludo, developing and carrying out a series of performances around Brazil.

In 2007 and 2008 she also participated in the project ‘Dois Vazios’, by Marcelo Coutinho and André Severo, developing the film ‘Siempre’ and participating in performances of the film ‘Vigília’, by André Severo. Since 2004, she has been working in collaboration with André Severo, in several actions, capturing images and executing performances in different works. In 2013, created the film ‘Oração e Cura’ as part of the project ‘Observatório de Sensibilidades do Morro da Borússia’, by ARENA Association of Art and Culture.
