Lives and works in Curitiba, Brazil.
Member of the Nominating Committee PIPA 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2021.

Professor in the Arts Department at the Federal University of Paraná. He has research in the history of Brazilian art, performance and curatorship. Among his curators are Panorama da Arte Brasileira (with Ricardo Basbaum and Ricardo Rezende, Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo, 2001), States of image: books by Waltércio Caldas (with Daniela Vicentini, Victor Meirelles Museum, Florianópolis, 2007), Um place from here (Rumos Visuais, Itaú Cultural, Brasília, 2009) and Cena Raul Cruz (Centro Cultural SESI, Curitiba, 2014). He published the books’ Vanguard art in Brazil – the 60s’ and ‘The body in the city – performance in Curitiba’ and, among others, the articles’ Construction of the gaze by the exhibitions’, ‘Threshold of visuality – visual arts and the crisis of aids’, ‘Francisco Bittencourt: essay on a critical trajectory’, ‘New Brazilian Objectivity – vanguard positions’ and’ Gilda invites Maria Bueno – the pulse of the city ‘.
