PIPA Online 2013

(this page was last updated in February 2014)

PIPA Online is the category in which all participating artists are invited to participate ( but it is not mandatory). The winner is elected by votes left on their pages here at the website.

On the other categories of the Prize – PIPA and Popular Vote Exhibition – only the four finalists can be awarded.

The main goal of PIPA Online is to promote all PIPA artists and the Brazilian contemporary art through the internet.

This category allows people that are far from the areas that concentrate the art events in Brazil to know the work of the artists and the Prize; and also make artists who live away from the main cities to have their work known. We know that the online experience is not the same as the “personal and real” experience, but it is a path and an invitation.

The winner artists’ testimonial, through these 4 years, confirms that this goal has been accomplished.

Two rounds

Since 2012, PIPA Online is decided in two rounds and the two most voted artists are awarded.
The artists had to reach the minimum number of 300 votes in the 1st round to be qualified for the 2nd round.
The counting is reset for the beginning of the second round.

7 artists were qualified to the 2nd round:

Camila Soato
Celina Portella
Fernanda Quinderé
Grupo EmpreZa
Marco Antonio Portela
Nino Cais
Shima
