Born in 1984, Thereza Farkas graduated with a degree in Cinema at FAAP (2008) and in theatre arts by the Célia-Helena Theatre School (2003). Since then, she has completed some curatorial projects, such as the Wabi-Sabi (2011) and Futuro do Pretérito (2012) exhibitions at the Mendes Wood DM gallery in São Paulo, today she is dedicated to the development of artistic projects. In 2009, she co-founded the Casa Tomada, a space dedicated to artistic investigation and discussion around young people and contemporary art, where she worked until the end of 2012. In 2013, she started as the institutional and program director at the Videobrasil Cultural Association, dedicated to the development, diffusion and mapping of contemporary art, it gives special attention to production at the geopolitical circuit in the south, and to video as an artistic language. In 2018 she founded the Baile Studio, and produced projects that connect visual art with other artistic devices.
