Vauluizo Bezerra was born in Aracaju, Sergipe in 1952. He moved to Bahia in 1955.
Begins his artistic activities as self-taught in the early ‘70s. He entered the School of Fine Arts (UFBA) in 1976. From there he begins to participate in national and international events.
Besides to his artistic production, Vauluizo Bezerra has also become a curator and writes reflective texts on contemporary art in various media such as newspapers, magazines, books and blogs. He has exhibited in several Brazilian museums and won several awards participating in art salons.
