In the twelfth edition of PIPA Online, Daiara Tukano and Ruth Albernaz were the winners of the virtual category with 1925 and 1274 votes in the second round, respectively. A total of 33.141 votes were counted, distributed among the 59 participants, thus breaking the record of the previous edition of PIPA Online. The winning artists were awarded with a R$5,000 donation each after campaigning on social networks.
Regulation
The PIPA Online category occurs in two rounds. Only those artists who receive at least 500 votes in the first round will advance to the second round. Voting is reset after the end of the first round and begins again at the start of the second round.
The two artists with the most votes at the end of the second round of online voting will each receive a R$5,000 (five thousand reais) donation.
If only one artist receives 500 or more votes in the first round, that artist alone will receive the R$5,000 (five thousand reais) donation, without the need for a second round.
If no artist receives at least 500 votes in the first round, no artist will receive the R$5,000 (five thousand Reais).
In the first round, each internet user may vote for as many artists as he or she wishes. However, for the vote to be validated, each person must vote for at least three artists.
In the second round, each voting internet user may vote for as many artists as he or she wishes among those who have qualified for the second round. However, only one vote for the favorite artist will be enough for the vote to be validated.
