PIPA Prize 2024 nominee

I am a multidisciplinary artist and researcher, born in Brasília – DF and living in Sobradinho – DF. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Visual Arts at the University of Brasília, in the field of Displacements and Spatialities. I have a master’s degree from the same institution and line of research, with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts. I have participated in group exhibitions since 2017 and, in 2021, I had my first solo exhibition at the Museu Nacional Honestino Guimarães. I was selected for the 2nd Vera Brant Contemporary Art Prize in 2019. Since 2020 I have been part of Pé Vermelho – Espaço Contemporâneo (Planaltina – DF) and since the beginning of 2024 I have also been part of the performance collective TresPe and the activist collective ATEAR.

I have a special affection for the spatiality and three-dimensionality of sculpture and installation, but my artistic research also crosses different languages such as performance, painting, embroidery, video, photography and drawing. I am currently interested in thinking about how to support people’s power through my work in the arts, studying the right to housing, the right to the city, the right to culture and leisure. My artistic production is driven by the landscape and other beings in everyday life, in a constant exercise of listening and movement.
