Ricardo Alves was born in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil. Lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. Holding a degree in Fine Arts at the School of Communication and Arts of University of São Paulo, the artist develops his work mainly in the language of painting. He has taken part in several group shows in São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Jataí and other cities in Brazil, and abroad in New York, USA and Tsukuba, Japan. He won acquisition prizes on the 40th Contemporary Art Show of Ribeirão Preto, 40th Luiz Sacilotto Contemporary Art Show of Santo André, and on the 11th National Fine Arts Show of Guarulhos. He held the first solo exhibitions in 2016, at Sancovsky Gallery in São Paulo capital and Ribeirão Preto Museum of Art.
