PIPA Prize 2023 nominee

Visual artist, multimedia artist, and artistic director. Develops works involving visual and technological languages. Produces videos, urban interventions, projection mappings, mixed realities, installations, and interactive projects. Roberta graduated in Fine Arts from the Universidade Federal do Pará. Winner of the FUNARTE Women in Visual Arts Award. Participated in various national and international exhibitions and projects, such as Brasil Futuro: As Formas da Democracia, Festival do Futuro, HEALING – Life in Balance, in Frankfurt, Festival On_OFF 2019 – Itaú Cultural, Virada Cultural de São Paulo, Amazon Connection, Arte Pará, Visualismo – Arte, Tecnologia, Cidade, Festival Multiplicidade, among others. Her works are part of the collections of the Contemporary Art Museum Casa das 11 Janelas (PA), the Museum de Arte do Rio (MAR), and the Museum of the Federal University of Pará. Her poetics encompasses roles as an artist-curator and artistic director in projects involving visual arts, technology, and issues related to the Amazonian territory. She is the creator of the Amazonia Mapping Festival, a pioneering art and technology project in Brazil. At Rock in Rio 2022, she was the artistic director and curator of NAVE, an immersive installation that brought over 50 Amazonian artists to the world’s largest music festival. She was also the assistant curator of the exhibition Brasil Futuro: As Formas da Democracia (in the Pará edition).
