Taygoara Schiavinoto is a visual artist and educator, born in the city of Ribeirão Preto. Graduated in Visual Arts, in Sculpture, from the University of São Paulo – USP. His research looks at the symbolic instruments of Candomblé from the concepts of Bacongos and Yoruba culture, as well as Brazilian popular culture and non-traditional manifestations of art. From the perspective of Afro-Brazilian artistic production, it seeks to remember “forgotten” symbols alongside recognized figures in a form of celebration, whose result is the creation of new symbols, developing a cycle of remembrance and invention.
