Lives and works in Fortaleza, Brazil

PIPA Prize 2024 nominee

Trojany was born in Icó, in the interior of Ceará, on the border between Rio Grande do Norte and Paraíba, she grew up among the dams, rivers and countries. She’s a visual artist, an art educator and a designer. She works producing intersections between technology, art and ancestry, creating environments for virtual exhibitions, websites and objects in three dimensional molding, films and performance.

She builds a research that splits itself in tentacles. By one side, takes a look at the hydro resources in Ceará and the dynamics of survival and transformation that’s installed around these bodies of water. By another, observes the dynamics between body, machine, memory, digital data and the internet.

Her first works were in the film industry with the movies Santa Porque Avalanche and Antes da Encanteria, then she ellaborates other medium and possibilities of action, specially web art and performance. Then works like Jacarecangoscópio, Tumba, PYX-UN.A, Morango do nordeste emerge, showing a way to bend to other expression paths.
