Multidisciplined Slum-Artist, he’s interested in the relations in the contemporary field from the composition with materialities, improvs and visual constructions. Focused in visual arts, dance, video-dance and immersive processes in art-technology and sound art, from the concept of “Russian Roulette Body” [Corpo Roleta Russa], he experiments the body in dialogue with other materialities while as | speech/gun – bullet/projectile | which shoots | dialogue/confront – poetic/slum | looking forward to bring elements to think the subjective territories of spatial-racial-ethnical segregation, such as the black-slum presence and own ways to think/to make contemporary art. Awarded by Rumos Itaú Cultural (2017-2018) and by Funarte Artes Visuais – Periferias e Interiores (2017). He’s had proposals shared at 69ª Edição do Salão de Abril, Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Ceará (MACCE), Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste (CCBNB), Mostra Sesc de Cinema. He was also a part of Movimiento Sur (Chile), Linha de Fuga (Portugal) and Atos de Fala (AdF.19) in Switzerland and in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

WELLINGTON GADELHA, multidisciplinary slum-artist, develops his work and research at Plataforma Afrontamento.he’s interested in the relations in the contemporary field from the composition with materialities, improvs and visual constructions. His works are conceived from the concept of Russian Roulette Body, and his focused in visual arts, dance, video-dance and immersive processes in art-technology and sound art, beside being a part of a network of collectives that act focused on human rights, poor suburbs and black youth.he experiments the body in dialogue with other materialities while as | speech/gun – bullet/projectile | which shoots | dialogue/confront – poetic/slum | dealing openly with urgent matters not only in the artistic/political agenda, but also in the world’s subjectiveness and narratives and even aims to bring elements to think subjective territories of spatial-racial-ethnical segregation, stressing in a expressive-subversive way, the racial speech, as well as the black-slum presence and their ways to think/to make contemporary art.
Awarded by Rumos Itaú Cultural (2017-2018) and by Funarte Artes Visuais – Periferias e Interiores (2017). He’s had proposals shared by the slums of Fortaleza, Brazil, besides the 69ª Edição do Salão de Abril, Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Ceará (MACCE), Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste (CCBNB), Mostra de Videografias Performativas + Mostra Entre Performances, Mostra Sesc de Cinema e Dança em Foco – Festival Internacional de Vídeo e Dança. He has also participated in residencies such as Movimiento Sur (Chile) and Linha de Fuga (Portugal) and participated in “Atos de Fala (AdF.19)” in Switzerland and in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Festival Panorama in partnership with CN D (Pantin/France). And he was a researcher from Fundação Biblioteca Nacional (FBN) alongside the Ministry of Culture in partnership with the National Secretary of Politics of Promotion of Racial Equality [Secretaria Nacional de Políticas de Promoção da Igualdade Racial].
